Why can the leather rub off?Updated 7 months ago
With new shoes, discoloration of the leather may appear at the beginning. Regardless of the color of the leather and the manufacturer, the causes can be many.
The most common cause of discoloration is the use of environmentally friendly dyes or fixings. Only by using chemicals, some of which are harmful to humans and nature, could the staining be prevented in the production process. However, this would be absolutely not in our sense, the nature and our customers, therefore we renounce the use of such chemicals.
However, the following measures can be taken to counteract dyeing:
- The color of the socks should not be lighter than the color of the leather.
- Do not wash the inner lining or bring it into contact with liquids.
- Air and dry shoes sufficiently after each use.
- Care products for staining leather
Note: The initial staining of black leather is not uncommon, but usually subsides quite quickly.
