We have summarized important information about the production of our fur products for you. With this we want to show you the process and the fairness behind our products as transparent as possible. Animal welfare and the environment are as important to us as the quality of our products. Accordingly, the requirements for our partners & suppliers are very high. We ensure that the fur comes from countries with animal welfare laws and that animal welfare standards are always met. 

A delivery of mulesing-free wool is a matter of course for us. The exclusively mulesing-free wool comes from China and Australia and are marked with the Responsible Wool Standard, which protects the welfare of sheep and pastures. Furthermore, the Kashmir suppliers belong to the Sustainable Fibre Alliance. Great care is taken to ensure that no animal is harmed in the value chain. Due to the composition of fine cashmere hairs, Mountainwool is softer, more supple and grippier than 100% wool and comes very close to pure cashmere. Wool and cashmere are high quality natural fibers and compress as they come to you. By wearing it, the fibers of wool and cashmere go up and show its natural state. The scarf thus feels more voluminous, fluffy and supple.  

The welfare of the animals is taken very seriously. The process is carried out by adhering to strict internal guidelines developed in accordance with the Australian Standard for Animal Welfare, EU legislation and those of our suppliers. Our suppliers have their own staff on site for inspection and verification. The entire process of processing is supervised, controlled and verified. The employees are trained, informed and knowledgeable about all legal requirements.

1. the animals always have access to fresh water, feed and a healthy diet.
2. the environment is adequately and comfortably furnished including a resting area.
3. the animals are regularly medically examined so that they can be quickly diagnosed and treated in case of pain.
4. sufficient space is provided so that they can be in the company of conspecifics and have a normal atmosphere.
5. good treatment is provided so that the animals are not afraid.
